tonight Paris is in lockdown mode with daily cases spiking at 35,000. Nearly 6 million French citizens have been vaccinated, up from 4 million in just the last week. But despite this a 3rd wave has already begun.
A major reason for this is spread of the vaccine-resistant covid variants. public confidence in the Astra-Zeneca vaccine is waning.
The situation in Paris is grim the number of people in intensive care has just recently surpassed 1000, more than at the peak of the second wave in November.
