Nova Scotia Health Authority is now warning of more side effects from the AZ covid19 vaccine. These 911-call worthy side effects appear 2-4 weeks after the shot. Symptoms are most likely to occur between days 14 and 28 later.

Anyone who experiences symptoms after receiving AstraZeneca vaccine should get medical help right away or call #911 and say they have received the vaccine. Symptoms include:

  • shortness of breath
  • chest pain
  • stomach pain that will not go away
  • leg swelling
  • sudden and severe headache
  • headache that will not go away and is getting worse
  • blurred vision
  • skin bruising (other than the area vaccinated), reddish or purplish spots or blood blisters under the skin
